For so much of your life you’ve been known, first and foremost, as a hooper. The court raised you, the game shaped you, you gave it your all. You spent hours at practice, traveling to games, studying tape, bonding with teammates. It was your everything.

Then you graduated and discovered other interests. Maybe you played in college or even overseas but at some point the game started to take a backseat. Your love for it never wavered but your life stopped revolving around it.


Every once in a while, you hear it, “oh, you hoop!”
Someone is surprised to see you geared up, putting up shots, or hitting a clean step back on the court. You’re reminded that not everyone has known you as a hooper. You laugh to yourself and go about your business, your game has always done the talking.



“Oh, you hoop!” is a dedication to the world of women’s basketball keeping the game alive for those of whom ball has been life.

The groups, teams, organizations, and voices creating space for community and the opportunity to stay connected to the game - to remain connected to a core part of who we are.
